Default Dyno results: AP2 2007 975 miles

I searched around for some stock dyno plots and didn't have a ton of luck but from what I've seen on S2KI stock ap2's are putting around 200/135-140.

What I learned: Velocity stacks work. The motor makes a lot of noise when the top of the air box is off. Stock AP2's run extremely rich. The plot from below is of run 2 and run 4. Run 2 (blue line) is with the air filter on and top of the air box off. Run 4 was with the velocity stack.

Results for those that are unable to read the fine print at the bottom: HP 203.84 TQ 141.56 stock and HP 204.52 TQ 144.63 w/ velocity stock.

Edit: Picture hosting isn't working. The thread on S2Ki can be seen here: http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...29999

yeah but any gain is a plus on this car. 40 bucks for a healthier top end, seals the deal for me. also, you do know k&n makes a filter for the VS right ? I will have comparisons w/ filter, and without in a few weeks. thanks for the dyno plot. answer'd my question about stacks on this engine.

I did some searching for one w/ a 5 inch inlet but didn't have much luck. Do you have a part #?

And this will fit in the airbox tray like the OEM filter?

no real gains because u have it limited within the stock box.... remove it nad use bigger intake piping and get it form fresh air and you will see more gains...

Did you not look at the dyno graph? There are already gains with the vstack in the stock box. I haven't seen much proof that CAI's work on these newer cars. Please prove me wrong though. If it's proven to make power but doesn't make it sound like a civic, i'm open to considerations.

yes i did look at it.. and lik ei said there wasnt really any gains from it.... 2-4hp you cant not tell and it wont make a diff.. might as well leave it stock..

the stock unit does a great job but it can be made better...
AEM CAI will give u the HP for the $ over the bling JDM items out there... mugen/gruppe M etc

3" piping running to the front grill with a Vstack will give you the most along with supporting mods..

i have no #'s but my intake set up with Vstack netted me a 13.7@101
stock header
stock cat
dual exhaust
12" sub
and safety21 cage
so it was making power

Aren't there stock s2k's running high 13's stock? The only real way is to dyno unless you're doing lots of 1320 run's and comparing mph, but even that would be tough to do. What were your trap speeds stock?

with great racing conditions and drivers the fastest stock is 13.6...

but take into account i had added weight with a sound system and a cage....

if i removed it im sure i could have gotten 13.50's......

and the average S2K runs in the low to mid 14's.. only us good drivers can pull 13's out of them

Your cage and sub weigh THAT MUCH? 2 tenths? That sounds like a lot.

I ran 14.0 on a 85 degree HUMID *** day after driving the car 100 miles to get there with the AC on. No cool down time. My 60' was 2.2. I didn't really wanna launch the car hard. This was also after several other runs back to back. I think on a 60 degree day with ample cool down time, and NOT a 2.2 60', I'm sure I could have gone 13.7 or so.

I BARELY ever drag race.

My only engine related mod is an AEM V2.

being heat soaked in 2 hour traffic and a slipping 100k+ clutch yea the weight helps take the load off the clutch

i never track it after i put the TP on.. wish i did before she got totalled
