this is a tuff one for me to find an answer to. I have a 94 civic dx with a dashboard replacement, the thing is the vin number on the dash i dont have the title for. The local police station website and the state website say that the vin number on my dash has a certificate of destruction, which i guess means it came out of a car thats been crushed or sumthing. I dont have a vin number in my door. the only Vin number i have paperwork for is the vin number on my firewall which i have the title for. so what should i do? im pretty sure my engine's legit and isnt stolen if i look up the vin number but what do i do if i want my dashboard vin number? If i go to the dmv do ya'll think ill qualify for a state vin tag if i can get paperwork from my friend who owns a car place, stating that certain parts have been changed such as my replaced dash and engine swap?
