Default Turbo / N/A Question

I'm looking to make a daily driver (Integra b18a1) with almost stock internals, (definitely not built or anything though), and I would like to make around 200hp, if thats realistic enough. What I'm wondering is: Would it be more cost effecient to Build an N/A setup or Boost it to reach my HP goal?

Youre not going anywhere near 200whp with untouched internals in an LS. That means bolt-ons and thatll net you ~135whp.

A turbo would make 200whp EASY on an LS but I think you should shoot for more than that if you want boost as the LS can handle more than that safely. Go for 250whp at least. Youre going to get bored of 200whp very fast.

It would be less expensive to generate 200 whp via forced induction in your case.

don't trust everything you read on the internet.

yes, its the path less travelled, but it can be done. it can be pricy. not the cheaper way for 200whp.

boost would be better for your purposes, though.

good luck with your build.

at 200whp turbo on your motor turbo will be cheaper and more reliable. you could probaly bump that up to about 250whp depending on the condition of the motor.
Do you have an compression test and leakdown results?

I didn't bother reading all the posts, but you can achieve 200whp with an all motor Lsvtec build.

but a turbo would probaly more power and reliability for the same amount of money

With a turbo you wont have to worry about if you're gonna reach your power goals or not, and if you ever decide you want more power JUST UP THE BOOST!

*Fixed.

For such a low power goal you could build a turbo setup a lot cheaper than going NA and attempting to hit 200whp
