Default #320's return from the body shop

So, the R is back in action, and excellent, like new job from True Performance. HOWEVER, I will be the only R in existence with two different Type R stickers. I looked at the original sticker on my Right 1/4 panel versus the new one they replaced during the repair on the left, and they are indeed different. The orginal has Integra in White with Type in Gray. The new one has Integra in Gray and Type in White. Luckily, the R is still Red. Anyone have any ideas as to why the stickers are different. I was thinking that maybe the CW and PY's have the one I received as a replacement.

You are not the first. A body shop did that to me a few months ago.

Someone decided to use the passenger side of my car as a "berm" on a rainy day. Mostly sheet metal damage. When they repainted and applied the sticker, the new sticker was different.

I think they use some aftermarket supplier as opposed to original Acura.

I would absolutely make them use OEM honda decals if they didn't. The decals must match IMO to be considered fixed.

I agree. I would ask them to order the OEM decal and take it back forthem to put on...

Congrats Sean!!! It's good to hear that your R is back. As far as the deacal is concerned I would have to agree with Todd... It must match to be considered fixed. When I ordered my replacement decal from A&H they asked me what color my R was. I believe the CW, PY, and FBP all have different decals. The PY decal has the "Integra" in black, the "Type" in graphite surrounded by a black outline, and the "R" in red of course, surrounded by a black outline.

Yeah, I will call them tomorrow, and tell them that I definitely need that done. That is ridiculous that they cannot get simple decal replaced properly. Not enough attention to detail IMO. However, I am almost tempted to have them order the decal, and I put it on myself.

Maybe they used the new integra (DC5) type R stickers? Is it possible that they are different?

They look totally different, the font is not the same at all.
Sean would notice that!

Rest assured, I will autocross beginning in July. I have gone to the last two on Ackerman for pointers. As far as the decal, having looked at the decal on the PY, it is what they put on mine. I went back to the body shop and had them look it up while I was there, and sure enough, there were decal product numbers associated with each color. CW, PY, FBP, NHBP. They are replacing it this week. Tomorrow, off to Dent Wizard again to get out a left door ding, left front quarter dent, and hopefully that will be it. Love our R's but, man, these shells are fragile.
