Anybody ever remove this part? Rear deck area
I purchased a 92 Si for dirt cheap a couple months ago.
It had a custom rear deck speaker setup with 4 8" subs and a bunch of other stuff.
Little did I know when I purchased it the owner cut out the entire center portion of the rear deck support. I want to replace it back to the factory unit.
Here is the carnage:

The piece he cut is number 33 in this picture. He also removed number 34 and 35 but I have sourced those from another member online.

The problem we are having is that number 33, the deck support, is held in by a ton of spot welds and the rear window has to come out to remove it. Honda wants $250 plus shipping for the part.
My options so far are bite the bullet and by the honda part, remove my rear window, drill out the spot welds, and then reinstall and reweld. I have a welder and feel comfortable doing this work but the time requirement is
My second option is to find a junkyard car or someone online to remove theirs, but the amount of work required to remove it might be more than anyone is willing to put into it to make it worthwhile.
My third option is to find someone online with the part and have them sawzall out the section I'm missing, then I would just cut the part to fit exactly in my hole, and then weld away.
I'm wondering what method you guys would do and what if any other options you guys would consider. I'm just trying to find a solution to the problem at the moment.
Thanks

34 and 35 really aren't necessary, not a huge deal.
Most likely, you'll be fine as well without the rear deck in. Unless it aesthetically bothers you, I wouldn't bother.
The only realistic way of doing it is taking the window out and drilling those welds. Cutting one exactly to fit would be extremely difficult.

Yikes, you may be able to get one from a junkyard, but otherwise you'd have to get it from the dealer.
What about welding in a sheet metal plate or something and cutting the holes for the speakers?

you want oem sheet metal?
that seems a little ridiculous
once you cover it with the carpeted panel and speaker grills what will be the difference?
