FNALLY! - Time for boost. Hondata on p74?
Can I run hondata s200/s300 on my stock p74 ecu on my '94 integra? I see alot of them sold with p28's...can i use p28 and p72 vtec ecu's eventhough i dont have vtec???
What all do i need when buying s300, data and interface cables, software, button, and ecu hardware. I dont need to "rom-programmer" if i plan to get it tuned by a shop rite?
also do i need a gm 3-bar map sensor?

what does the ecu have to do with how it gets tuned? why would u recommend a p28 to an ls?
get it socketed and pin for hondata. if u plan to get it tuned by a hondata tuner than they should have the cables to communicate with the unit to tune. u only need to upgrade your map sensor when u want to run over 11.2psi.

Yes to all of the questions. To use the P74, just send it in to Hondata or someone and get outfitted for S200 or S300. You can use the other ECU's if want to, it makes no difference. Just turn off VTEC in the program.

Just buy the S300 from the Hondata dealer and the box comes with everything you'll need. You don't need the romulator at all if you use the S300. If you have the S200 then you only need it if you plan to tune yourself....which you aren't

As stated above, only if you plan to run more than 11psi. If you want more than 29psi, then you need a 5bar.

OP: Don't listen to this, it's completely wrong and just doesn't make any sense. The type of ECU plays no part in difficulty of tuning. All ECU's are equal since you are using the software to tune.

ok... thank you!! for me, a person who does not know that much about tuning, is hondata the easest way to go...keeping finance involved in the decision too?

Hondata is easy yes, but there are cheaper ways if you are worried about the money.

Might I ask quickly what other alternatives there may be to hondata or crome? These are the only 2 I have heard of.
