Default *stumped* engine coolant temperature code?!?! why?

My CRX had a B16 in it, ran perfect no codes. I swap in a different engine, hook everything up (i think the same exact way) and now i have #6 code which is engine coolant temperature. I replaced the sensor right under the vtec solenoid which is i think the coolant temp. sensor. Still throwing the code! the car would begin to overheat so i would turn it off. Please help me solve this. thanks

Just wondering, how many wires does the clip on the Coolant temp have coming out of it? also, how many for the vtec solenoid clip?

The sensor right under the vtec solenoid is the vtec pressure switch

There are two thermosistors that measure coolant temp. One is for the gauge cluster needle and the other one is for the ECU. Make sure you got the two wire one.

correct, one goes into the head, the other on the thermostat housing.

are you sure? for a B16A OBD0? I thought on the older ones, it was in the back of the block, not on the thermostat housing. damn im so confused, this is kinda pissing me off.
