Every time I'm in a hurry, I get screwed I swear....Columbia River T3 flanges are ass???
So, I'm in a bind. I had a manifold I needed to finish on a semi tight timeframe. I took a "rush" payment and prioritized this one thinking I had one T3 flange left. Come to find out I had a T25 flange in my T3 flange box, so I had to hurry and order one online.
My normal source is well.....slow as slow gets.....SLS's site has been down for I don't know how long (I know...I could've called, but I work late at night and I needed to get it off my plate and ordered), so having ordered pipe from racing-solutions (Columbia River now....I guess) I ordered a T3 flange from them knowing they ship quick.
So I open the package and immediately see that I can't do sh*t with this thing.

I've emailed them, but haven't gotten a response yet. Now I'm in a bigger bind so that's that.
My collector jig is setup for a T3 inlet, not this massive thing. If I cut the collector down it's certainly gonna interfere with the bolt holes, on top of the fact its gonna be *** anyway. I work hard to port the collector and make everything flow well...hitting a wall with this *** flange is just not something I want my name on.
Is this normal for this company or did I get a messed up flange...anyone know?

You can blame turbonetics for that. They came up with a slightly larger opening. Racing-solutions cuts their T3 flanges to the turbonetics size.
BMC sells both size flanges.

customer service is my #1 priority. i have them in stock. shipping is usually 3-5 days, sometimes less depending on where they are going. a lot of people don't like the higher shipping costs because i'm in canada, but i haven't had any complaints about my products yet and if i did, i would remedy the situation immediately.

Yeah, I've ordered alot of piping from them, and really like their stuff, I just wish they were a little more up front about this on their website.
Weirtech, if your remember when I pm'd you, I prefer the 1/2" for the turbo flange, so I'm just holding off until you have some of that ready along with those trac bar parts. I'm just gonna get a big order from you so I can absorb some of that shipping cost easier.

DANG IT....I didn't think you kept alot of stuff in house....****.
Well, I already plasma cut one, just gotta clean it up. I just hate the labor time when I use that method. If I had plasma table access it wouldn't be so bad, but plasma by hand requires so much finish work.

Yeah, that's generally what I TRY to do...like I said there was a T25 flange in the damn box. As a customer of Sam you have to know to order about 6 months in advance, so you have to stock up...
It's a different housing.
In the future please give me a call if you have problems. I'm not online during the day (busy running a crew of 7 smurfs), and I personally answer the phone all day long.

I just was in a rush to order, and didn't look at the picture that closely. I really think there needs to be something in here to let people know. This cost me time, and is essentially useless to me.
If you really wanted to help me, I'd figure you'd send me another flange or give me some options. No return email yet...but I guess I'll call you. Just figured I'll eat it.

K since you like long drawn out posts including every detail and step here goes.
For future reference for anyone and everyone who cares.
You can make that flange in a pinch by...
#1 chopping out a rectangle on you bandsaw.
#2 Clipping the corners on a 45 with said bandsaw.
#3 rounding the 4 45s you just cut on your bandsaw with some sort of grinding/sanding device(beltsanders are kickass)
#4 drilling 8 properly spaced holes in you sexy *** rectangle with a drill press. 4 bolt holes and 4 holes in the corners of the inlet hole.
#5 clamp a straight piece of steel to the flange so you can bank your plasma/torch off of it and make 4 perfectly straight cuts connecting the 4 holes you drilled in the corners of the inlet hole.
#6 tap the 4 bolt holes(if required)
#7 clean up your plasma/oxy/act cuts. With a little practice there shouldnt be much clean up at all.
#8 (last but certainly not least) partake in an adult beverage(if you are of age of course) of your choice in celebration of you badassery and make a post detailing the epic adventure.

I was just trying to point out that there are two different T3 flanges. I KNOW BMC is slow as hell. I usually wait two months to receive flanges, BUT they are so nice.

LOL.....see now isn't that nice...
You were probably punching the keys on your computer though cursing while you typed it.
I've made my own turbo/wastegate flanges for quite a spell actually with the plasma/bandsaw/drill press/belt sander method, I only recently started buying them. Buying saves me alot of time, and after purchasing them I just felt alot of relief.
