I'm trying to figure out what type of flange this is.

yep it's Chryslers goofy t3 based turbine housing. I never understand why OEM companies have to modify something that already works fine

as stated above there's enough material to drill it for a t3 flange, IIRC there are two holes that already line up with a standard t3 flange.

What's the best possible way around this situation?

Around what situation exactly? If you mean converting it to a regular T3 flange either change the housing or drill the T3 pattern in the flange. I thought that was pretty obvious.

Ok. I kinda thought of that but wasn't sure. I just want to see what other people have done. Thanks.

The same reason they do everything "slightly different" than shelf replacement parts - to make you come back to them when it breaks.

There are/were adapter plates for these but it lowers the turbo quite a bit in the engine bay on your average Honda setup.

Yeah I came across those but I thought the same thing too. I also didn't know if it would have a effect in performance. I've given it some thought and I'm thinking about just ordering a new housing. That way it will bolt right up and I can also get rid of that 5 bolt flange as well. Thanks everyone, your help is greatly appreciated.
