Default Shock, help.

Okay from what I hear not everyone has been able to accomplish what I've done
I drove off the road going about 50mph, and I managed to get my get my shock out of place, and hit my hood.
I'm sure pictures speak for themselves, but a friend of mine said that it looks like the shaft that runs into the shock tubing got stripped and was pushed the washer past where it sits, so now its stuck that high up. Because its chamfered so its kinda just wedged where its at.

I want you guys to give me some advice before I take it to the shop. What parts do you guys think need to be replaced the shock itself, or the washer, or what other parts?

Thanks in advance.

If you somehow managed to push a washer down the shaft of the shock(#12), you will need to relpace the entire shock.

I thought of it that way, an excuse for a fancy CF hood too, since it KILLED mine. But I don't have money for upgrading parts, just need the car back on the road, any more feed back anyone?

i could just tell you on sfpoa, but might as well be here.

I would suggest just getting parts from a junkyard and bolt it up yourself.

Thanks Will, Justin has a full fourth Gen he's parting out, so I will be getting parts from his car, I just don't know if I just need the shock, or more than that. Preludes in a junkyard down here are NEVER found.

I would get a shock and every washer up top, just to be safe when you put it all back together, and that is wayyyyy impressive, that washer #12 on the diagram, is a thick beast!
