just a few questions on performance.
ok so i have a 1997 base model h22a and i want to boost it someday. the only thing is that i dont want to buy parts for my engine if i am going to have to go back and replace them latter. for example. i have been seeing alot about the Euro-r f20 intake manifold being a great buy for a prelude only thing is will it be able to sustain boost? i really want to know if it is ok to buy parts or should i wait and buy specific parts to handle boost?
well i know its alot of simple questions just kinda new and trying to figure this all out. thanx

ya basically. cus i know the euro-r manifold is heavier duty manifold with a single butterfly instead of double. i just dont know if i buy it if i am going to have to replace it. i also want to buy a header but dont know if i should yet because of same thing.
yes i beleive so but i am really trying to figure out stuff about my engine, and what would be some good investments at this point in the game.
Start simple.
This is what Ive come up with over the past few months.
I/E/H then you move onto manifold and clutch and fly wheel. Then a hondata system. And that will hold you over while you learn about how and what boost is and r turbo or nitruos.

I/E/H standing for intake exhaust header? witch i have 2 out of 3. i was going to get a hondata s200 system next then doing clutch but i will have that in a month or so. just trying to think ahead a little.
so what is i/h/e supposed to tell me?
go with s300
dont spend money until you have some kind of goal that you want to reach. Modifying a prelude is completely pointless unless you put THOUGHT and RESEARCH into every modification that you do.

ya true true why s300 over s200? i was looking at some of the threads you posted up already giving me some of the info i have been looking for. thanx alot

why get an exhaust header? If your turbo'ing you'll need a new manifold later anyway.
Start with fuel pump and FPR. Intake is almost a waste of money too if your turboing. I'd starting building the motor if anything. Don't waste your money on bolt ons unless they are supporting your turbo build (like fpr and pump)

ya i know that was my number 1 question was. should i buy a new manifold now or wait. and i have decided to wait and work on my clutch and some computer work. i will look into the fuel pump and fpr. thanx...
fyi
the intake was a waist of money but i was dumb o well i will sell it on craigslist.
