Don't Buy from Total boost and Japanese Domestic Engines
Ok I don't know where else to post this but I have to let you know. I bought an engine from Total boost and Japanese Domestic Engines. And I thought everything was going to work out fine. I bought a 3sgte from them for a 92 toyota mr2 ( i work at a shop and we are doing alot of swaps now) Anyways the engine came in fine and it was quick service but half the stuff that we were told would be included in the package wasn't there. Alot of stuff was broken and when we called them they told us alot of false information. I just wanted to let you know my boss lost out on a bit of money from buying from them and we are still missing parts to complete the swap. So we have a unhappy customer. So basically don't buy engines from these guys I don't know about buying turbo parts from total boost but i won't ever buy an engine again. Nothing was done to fix or problems I have called a few times and basically was told to **** off (not with those words but you get the idea).
So here is my problem i need a good reliable place to get the rest of the parts that these guys f*cked me over on and I need two more engine swaps.
Here are the engines i still need:
kfze 2.0 mazda engine swap
sr20det engine swap
I also need some 3sgte parts to finish this swap
if you can help me please msg me.
DEF
ps Nesar of Japanese Domestic Motors said to stop calling because i was wasting his time so f*ck him he will be taken to court.

It has been 3 days and today they basically said me calling them was a waste of their time and i should stop calling them. So they don't even want to try and fix the situation.

bummer,
yeah I'd say dont purchase anything from them, turbo, engine, anything!
if they are willing to shaft someone on one purchase, they'll do it again on another, I dont think what they are selling is whats important, its their business practices.

Re: (Tad)
I have been out of the picture for a few weeks, since I'm VERY busy with school and all. I'm REALLY surprised you are being treated like this. I was not aware of your purchase, but PLEASE send me an email at andre@total-boost.com and I will fix this.
Who have you been talking to??!?!!

Re: (TotalBoost)
For the record, this engine was not purchased from Total-Boost.com
I am waiting before my warehouse is totally ready before shipping engines again. But I WILL do my best to help resolve this.

Re: Don't Buy from Total boost and Japanese Domestic Engines (dose)
K I just got back online so I got lots of msgs let me explain a few things. First Total boost gets his engines (im guessing) from Japanese domestic Motors. I talked to total boost and this is who he sent me to. Second Nesar at Japanese Domestics Motors was cool at first and very nice while he was trying to get my money. He was even nice while the engine was coming. He turned into a jerk as soon as I had a few problems with the motor. Here is a list of everything that was wrong and what his excuse was.
3sgte motor was bought (this is going into a 92 toyota mr2 na
they did deliver the motor quickly
1)I didnt get the intercooler (no big deal we had one) didnt bug him about that
2)The ecu was wrong. He kept telling me it wasn't but it wasnt big deal I had anotehr one
3) Axles werent sent even though he said he would send them. He later told me I didnt need them that the stock axles that I had from old engine would work. They dont they are totally different.
4) He didnt send me one of the wiring harness. He said I didnt need it. No guages will work or anything electronical in the car with out this harness.
5) I'm missing a mass air meter. Nesar said we didnt need it. WTF That is a very important part...plus the air intake boot was ripped up and so was distributor.
6) He told me everything I would need to complete the swap would be sent. (I have emails) Yet I am still missing all the above.
Now I'm not saying total boost is a bad guy but he did refer me to this guy. Now Total said nesar was a great guy and everything but almost all his promises were broken and I recieve no help in fixing the situation. I was told I was wasting his time by calling...how can you do business this way....my boss is pissed and our customer has no car now to drive around in because his car still has no axles and is missing the wiring harness. Worst part was that we still need to buy 2 more engines for other customers so now we have to find another place for our engines.

Re: Don't Buy from Total boost and Japanese Domestic Engines (deftones0817)
Just to clear things up, I haven't made a single penny from sales on this board. I was simply referring people (like deftone experienced) to JDM inc, that's it.
This is the first I hear of this issue, since I am not aware of all the sales they handle. I am in the process of having a warehouse renovated, and I will then be up and running. My engines will be properly inspected, cleaned and an accurate description will be provided for each engine regarding missing/broken parts.
It can take years to build a strong reputation, and all it takes to destroy it is one bad sale, and lousy customer-support to mess it up (like this).
An update will be provided for all of you on Monday/Tuesday.
Take care,
Andre

Both these places have *EXCELLENT* reputations and I have dealt with both myself.

Re: Don't Buy from Total boost and Japanese Domestic Engines (tonyXcom)
I apologize if that's the impression given. As of yet, I am still technically only an online company, but like I said, I will deal with this matter like if the engine was purchased from Total-Boost directly.
