Hard to start in the mornings....
Thanks for looking. I have a 92 si, which recenlty is having hard starts. This seems to be happening when it's cold (usually in the morning). By hard starts I mean, I have to hold the key longer than usual in the starting position or use two attempts for it to start. However, it does start and run fine but the first start is buggin the **** out of me. Tried search but to no avail.
So, if anyone has any input don't hesitate.
Thanks.

Heres a shot to the moon.
Main Relay, although it usally happens when its hot. I just did mine on my 92 si. It would crank but not over. Let it sit for a min and it would start fine.

how old's your battery and how many cold cranking amps is it rated at? get one of your friends' battery w/ higher CCA and fire her up.. if it responds better.. well then u know ur battery's not beefy enough.
ya i had the same problem with my car in the winter and it was just a weak batery. what i would do is get another car in the morning and try jumping your car. if it starts easy, then its the battery. if it stil has troubles, i'd check the relay but im pretty sure its the battery

Do some research my friend, this thread is fairly new. There is plenty to find.

I had this same problem in the mornings and it would disappear later on during the day when it warms up. I changed my fuel pump out (not for this reason) and it got rid of the cold start issues. Starts on the first try, every try.
