it read 180, 180, 180, 180, 125 from left to right. and its a d16z6. i almost hydro locked it yesterday. now its tapping, any ideas?

just kidding but if you almost hydrolocked it it could be rings ,bearings .... do a leak down test

 

oops yea sorry 180, 180, 180, 125. but if it was the ring you couldnet hold 180 compression with bad rings. bearings would make a knock.. this is a tap. but thx. anyone else?

Do a leakdown test, it's either the rings or the valve seals.

 

check your valves

 

thanks. im lookin into it now. but its tapping. and i dont think that can cause a tap. if you think it can please elaborate on it. thank again

actually im almost positive that neither of those to reasons would cause a tap. so it must be something else.

u could have more then one problem, find out where ur leaking then find out about the tap? i was reading some where else that bent valves can cause tapping, which would probly cause ur 125 issue too maybe?

Have you drained, flushed, and refilled with new oil yet? and just curious, how did you "almost" hydrolock it? Flooded street?

 

yes huge puddle. i didnt see it till last minute and i put it in nutral. and yes i already did an oil change.

 

im pulling the head rite now. so ill see whats goin on
