Default OBDI or OBDII in civic ek4 96 (d16y8) ???

Hello guys i have a question in the same subject:
I own a civic coupe 96 D16Y8 engine now my friend told me that there is a possibility that the Electrical system is OBDI and not OBDII as i fought until now !

i attached a picture of my car (http://hondaswap.com/hybrid-eg-ek-dc...53/#post880622).
How can i check which OBD r my car using ??
Its very important cause im going 2 do a b18c or b16b swap so i have to know !
Thanks.

All USDM 96+ Honda Civics were OBD-II.

You can verify this (in an obvious sense) 2 ways, one, there should be a big *** O2 sensor sticking out of your catalytic converter - it's quite obvious. Two, there is an OBD-II scanner access port under your dash, parallel with the gas pedal, on the left hand side (almost all the way to the wall).

I highly doubt somebody converted it to OBD-I.

They could just be running an OBD-IIa to OBD-I conversion harness with an OBD-I ECU, but that's a far cry from an "OBD-I conversion."

For confirmation on that you'll see about 8in extra of wires by the ECU.

Pull the carpet on the passengers kick panel and look at the ecu, on its side there should be a number that starts with "P"XX . Post that number and well tell you what it is.
