quick questioN: can the h22 head be removed with intake mani still intact?

Default quick questioN: can the h22 head be removed with intake mani still intact?

how much extra trouble is this once the head removal has begun?

i think i have bent valves f* i hate auto tensioner!

yes you can remove it with the intake is still on. thats how i did it. i think its easier that way. just make sure you get all those connectors and crap under it too so you don't get snagged

no not at all. I'm used to working on v8's with cast iron heads, lifting the aluminum head and intake was a piece of cake.

Have someone help you. It's not crazy heavy, but it's not super light either. If you accidentially drop the head or otherwise damage the block deck surface, you're going to be very, very sad as you can't fix that without disassembling the entire block.
