Default gsr rod bearings in a lsvtec?

every one i talked to said use gsr rod and main bearings in my ls vtec so i bought the rod bearings and just now i was foolin around with one of the ls rods and gsr bearings and i noticed that the rod bearing does not have a hole in one of them. the rod has a hole in it and the gsr rod bearings dont have that hole. please explain to me what i did wrong.

did u also notice that the gsr bearing is alot narrower than the ls?

Bad really bad they are not the same,dont even keep trying,if you want stronger bearings try <U>acl race series </U> this are as strong as vtec bearings but make sure they are race series they came in a yellow box and get them for LS not for anything else, also be safe and use arp rod bolts and keep it under 8500rpm if your using LS rods,good luck

i have arp rod bolts and arp head bolts. whats this machining of the rods when installing arp rod bolts? what exactly do they machine and what happens if i dont get it done?
