Default blowing ecu fuse... WTF?!

I finally got the car started and it ran for a little while but would not rev very well... turned it off came back 20 minutes later and it wouldnt start. checked the fuses and the ecu 15a was popped. replaced it and turned the key on... POP. that one went too. so i replaced it one more time with a 20a and that one lasted about 2 seconds longer and it eventually popped as well.... any ideas? its a short to ground somewhere i know but has anyone had anything similar happen?

NEVER EVER EVER replace a fuse with a fuse with a higher amperage. you are asking for a fire, metlted wires, possible damage to the ECU, etc. etc.

Sounds like you have something grounding out - check the secondary oxygen sensor wires under the car. They can short out and pop ECU fuses like a **** y0.

i had the same problem about a week ago and did the same thing as you.... the problem was that i put a ITR header and the O2 sensor on the header was causing the ecu fuse to keep popping every time i got into vtec... and then it got so bad that it wouldnt start... i only replace the fuse like three times...but it took me so long to figures out wtf was the problem

yeah i know im an idiot for doing that lol... but i was just figuring since i had a new ecu that was chipped maybe it drew more amperage... but looking back that makes ZERO sense... so yeah ill wear the dunce cap for a few minutes for upping the fuse amperage
