Default am i doing this right? please help

i was doin a drain and fill on my gs-r....i drain the tranny but but when im fillin it through the fill hole it like more leaking out than goin in....here is a pic of the hole...any suggestions?

do you know where the speed sensor is located? its the plug on the back top of the tranny and is held down by 2 10mm bolts. pull it out and you can fill from the top of the tranny. i use 2 quarts of fluid

here is a pic. just unbolt the 2 10mm bolts, pull out the speed sensor ( it looks like a mini gear) use a long funnel or try and fit back there to pour the oil in. much easier than under the car.

How are you trying to fill it through the fill hole? If you use a piece of tubing attached to a funnel, it will be much easier.

Or you can use the fill hole. The big plug that you took out in the pic is the wrong one. That's the plug you remove to get the case apart. The fill plug is about the same level as the axle. It works even better and will let you know when you have put in the proper amount of fluid.

wow nice.. my tranny leaks about 1/4 quart every 2 months. this way sounds much easier.. do i need to do anything before unpluging the speed sensor? like disconnect the battery?
