What's your goals for the car? Are you interested in motorsports? Which type?

I don't think you need to do anything right off.

Vague question, what are your goals for the car?

Since you're being vague, do a 2.2liter stroker, RLZ head, with VTEC killers, Jenvey ITBs, and open 3" collector SMS-P header, with CR so high that you have to run C16 through it... Oh, and M-Factory close gearing, with an ATS 5.077FD...

What are your goals for the car? Are you trying to improve upon each aspect, to equally improve the car as a whole? Or are you just trying to be faster?

Few may disagree with me, but LEAVE IT STOCK!!!!!!!!! Find a hatch or a GSR if you're looking to do any extensive modding......esp. for dRag racing.

I don't disagree, I wouldn't do a lot of things to one myself, but it is his car so we should still help him reach his goals, whatever they are, right?

I agree, but Virgin ITR's are so rare......just trying to do what I can to keep them "pure."

How sad that this or something similar may not be far off the mark!

So how much will all this cost and what whp do I get? Oh and what would be the mpg? and reliability factor? Seriously, I have a stocker as well but would like about 100 more hp @ 30 mpg!

you mean header? can you fit two B18C5's under your hood? haha

Original poster, if you have the money do a mugen intake first. Then do a SMSP header and exhaust. Youll gain about 30 whp over stock once TUNED.

Then just do a Mooooogen intake, SMS-P header/exhaust, Edelbrock Performer-X intake manifold/Max Bore 70-65mm throttle body, a good tune, and you should be around/over 200whp. It all depends on what dyno it's on though.

Also, a tighter final drive is a good modification as well, if don't mind your RPM being a bit higher on the highway.
