Just purchased a 97 GS ls/v-tec turbo
Im new to the forum and I figured if anyone knows the answers to any of my questions this would be the place to go. My main concern is how much power/boost will the motor hold before i need to build it? Just from past experiences people have had on what is safe to run. Im thinking about turning up the boost and adding some race gas for track purpose only but i dont want to blow the car up. The car is currently running 10-11psi and makes around 350whp. Im not sure on all the specs of the car yet but ill try and get them posted.
alright ill see what i can come up with. All i know is the car was built and tuned by epic tuning and evans tuning located near me in eastern PA.
personally i think its kinda risky buying a boosted car off a unknown seller for many reasons u dk how it was treated or any of its pasts..post some pics up and how high do u plan on turning up the boost? id research a lil bit and maybe list ur setup and pics

ok, just making sure you didn't over pay.....from what i've heard evans tuning does real good work.....but i would leave the vehicle on the boost levels they tuned for, especially since it's a stock block ls-vtec (reliability MAY become an issue down the line)
build the bottom end, get a different head gasket and re-tune to boost safely at higher levels

alright thanks for the input, if i were to turn it up however, max 15psi will it hold together as long as im not on it for a long period of time and have the egts go through the roof
