Just swapped my single cam back into my hatch. Before i swapped out the single cam it ran just fine but now that its swapped back it idles kinda weird. .It idles weird when warmed/not warmed up but it gets worse when its warmed up. It idles near 0k. When i turn the headlights on the weird shaking idle goes away. Any idea what the problem could be ?

replace the pcv valve. when they are clogged they restrict air flow, sometimes causing a low idle.

also, how long was the motor out of the car? maybe doing a tune up will help.
cap/rotor/plugs/wires/air & fuel filters.

 

check wiring and alternator somtimes a sign its about to go out

 

It's probably idling at 500rpms because 0-500 is not on the tach.
