well since the spark plugs were covered in oil when i popped the hood i was assuming that was the problem. i was driving the car at a veery low engine speed when this happened like 2k. so after i cleaned them off and put new gromnets in the car still didnt start. do i need new plugs?

The same thing happened to me and I ended up just buying a new used engine. The spark plugs were drenched in oil and their was no compression. You can get it fixed for sure, but the cost of labor and parts would be more than the cost of a new engine, atleast in my case anyway. Good luck with your car.
