Default is there a way to clean up the inside of a motor?

I just picked up a JDM B16 swap and it looks decent except when i pulled my valve cover it was all red inside, like they had been running penzoil through it. I got a small spot and it cleans up pretty easy. BUt i dont wanna have to pull the head and sent it off to have it cleaned. I just dont like having that looking that way. I want it to look like my other heads.

I want it to look like this
