This link should give you some sort of a clue. The link may also tempt you to keep the auto tranny. Read my post at the end (page 2) of the thread in the link.

thanks for the info.... Im thinking about doing a B series swap, then taking pedals and clutch cabels from a stock manual civic... then using the transmission from the swap. If I do the swap it will probably be B16 Sir II... Then maybe turbo down the line... if I have the money.

You've got the wrong Civic, if you even think you can run a B-series.

id love to do a K series... I dont have the money... so in turn to get a transmission, and quicker engine at the smae time. I thought of doing a b16 or b18c swap... I dont see why my civic isn't suitable for a b series swap...

I'll put a B in it for the right money.

There's only 2 known B-swapped 7th gen. Civic's in existence. Both of which, are not street legal.

1. The only legal B-series swap would be a 2001 Integra engine in a 2001 Civic.
2. No one makes parts for the swap. So all the mounts, wiring, and hoses would need to be custom.
3. Even a K20A would be a cheaper option, after all is said and done.

i see.... well I guess its time to start saving... Boost is out of the question, because I have a stock auto tranny... therefore boost after a while would ruin the transmission... and the boost would have been pointless... which brings me back to the dilema of finding a cheaper swap... Any suggestions?

You're completely right.... I have only had the car for two weeks... I had an accord before and I was in the process of purchasing an h22 swap... but I made a deal with my brother instead and traded cars for my civic... Which brings me to the reason why Im posting here... to learn more about my own car and other things at the same time... thanks for your advice... do you know any websites for K series swaps... Ive heard password jdm engines are crappy, and hmotorsonline is pretty good... but im not really sure...

k20a.org for all your needs, check the classified section, you might be able to find a good deal on a complete swap .

You might want to also start looking at the stickied threads at the top of the forum. There's a reason why they're stickied.

price? if its more expensive than K series then Id be wasting my time. My idea is to get a more powerful engine, and at the same time get a transmission, so I can get rid of my auto pos...
