motorcycle inspection question
Ok, so i have recently bought a motorcycle. the previous owner made a mistake when titling it and counted the last digit as a mile instead as 1/10 of a mile so the title says 5400 when it should be 540. To avoid any problems, i titled it as having 6000 miles but the odometer is acutally showing 570 miles. Now i have to get the motorcycle inspected and dont know what to do, should i say the odometer broke and was replaced? or should i say the previous owner made a mistake and counted the 1/10 mile digit?
Btw, this is in NJ

If you say the odometer isn't correct, then it'll say on the title "not actual miles" at least that's how it is in my state. Just tell them it was a mistake, blame it on whoever did the title change lol.

all motorcycles in nj have to pass inspection to be on the road. BTW, 400 miles is nothing just ride them. Im talking about a difference of over 5000 miles.

just tell them what really happened, say when you filled out the paperwork for registration you were just copying it, or the sell filled that part out on the bill of sale and you just coppied it to the reg. worse comes to worse you have to go to the dmv and get it fixed.
