Default defi water temp sensor location

i know most people install their water temp sensors in the upper radiator hose, but i just can't bring myself to cut up my perfectly good samco hoses. so i installed it in the hose in the thermostat housing. my question is, will this location provide accurate readings? right now i'm getting a reading of 91 deg once warmed up

Have you not got a samco hose from radiator to thermostat housing, bottom hose?

If you have installed it in the thermostat housing or the bottom hose, you'll get readings 'after' the water as been through the radiator, so after the water has been cooled.

Most people would want to read when the water is at its hottest, in the top hose. I have my Defi sensor installed in the housing on the engine on the top hose if ya know what I mean. I just tapped a thread in it.
