Can't rev past 4k???

Can't rev past 4k???

When I start my car I can't rev past 4k until I throw code 17 for the VSS and the it lets me rev past 4k. Does anyone know what could possibly be causing this.

Did you check your distributer?

i hav a similler prob.but i had a code 4 and 9.i whent and bought a new dizzy.it was actually the wireing.i did a ls swap so i did the multi swap.so check your wireing

I have a dx engine with TWO fuel injectors, when one of them was unplugged the car wouldnt rev past 4000rpm?

is your car a dx?

im selling a vss if that matters
