Default Fed up with my tranny

I brought my car in this past June to get my 5 speed EX tranny fixed because it had a bad input shaft bearing..the guy at the place said that it was messed up and was completly shot, he replaced all the bad bearings and 1600 dollars later i had my car back. Now in OCTOBER the same noise is back..anyone know what could be wrong, i do not beat on my car. Im gonna call the place tommorow about it...any suggestions why this keeps happening this is my 3rd EX tranny with this annoying problem.

Have you checked your axles? They might be the sound you are hearing. And what kind of noise is it anyhow.

An easier solution is to just find a used EX tranny. Theyre usually very cheap and a lot are still in great condition.

You would have saved well over $1k if you did this in the first place.

does it whine on deceleration? usually a bad ISB will whine while decelerating in gear.

did you just say you paid 1600 dollars to have a transmission fixed that isn't even worth 300 dollars, for a motor that isn't worth a grand?

?

The problem does not sound like you input shaft bearing. You said it goes away when you have the cluth pedal pushed in right? If thats the case its your throw out bearing. Sorry to say dude but if that was the problem the whole time then you got screwed big time. Throw out bearing is the most common thing to creat noise coming from the tranny.

Do a search on throw out bearing and see if ther description people give about the noise is similar to what you are hearing from your car.
