Neptuned/Evans Tuned cars that received full tune...how's part throttle/idle performance?
I'm doing some research for a couple builds that I'm doing in the near future that are just going to require something more than Crome Pro. The customers require dyno sheets and I'm considering just outsourcing the entire process.
It is VERY important to me that these vehicles run and perform in the part throttle/closed loop mode as very civil and reliable. Normally, if ever there is an issue, I can link up and resolve it, and the person really has no problem. My concern is ferrying these vehicles across the state only to return and have idle or part throttle quirks I can't resolve due to the closed nature of Neptune. This would put me in a very akward position.
Any info is appreciated.

A way around this situation would be to run the RTP unit.. then you can outsource the tuning, but also if you wanted to you can touch it up in the future if it ever needed it.
Yeah, I actually thought the tuning of the system was restricted to dealers only.
I just had a pm from someone with the rtp unit, and then recalled reading about the rtp board a while back. Well, that answers the question in itself....purchase the rtp board, install, then I could do the dyno tune or outsource if I chose...good deal.

Exactly.. you get all the features of the dealer version or the chip version with the RTP. And the dealers can still tune it, while the end user can also refine anything they would like.

I've driven in quite a few Evans tuned cars, he does a great job at part throttle tuning as well..

im very pleased with the driveability of my evans tuned neptune hatch.he's got the car running 15s afr with no hesitation, and at low vacuum it dips back down to low 12s at 0 vacuum. ive driven the car all over, and daily when its all together. my idle is a little rich but it doesnt foul plugs. im getting dead on 30mpg, and i do see boost every time i drive it, so im always in the throttle to some extent.
just communicate with him when you are street tuning it. if you feel it hesitating or not driving smooth, let him know and he can real time change it, takes 2 seconds

As stated before, use neptune rtp or use a hondata s300 system so you can edit the tune as needed
All my setups that went to Jeff, and all my customers' setups that went to Jeff on Neptune have had no issues whatsoever
I suggest the Neptune RTP board for customers that are not local (within reasonable driving distance), or want to make changes on their own (track changes, 2 step, etc). 99% of the time i dont have issues with partial throttle/idle quality on tunes assuming that the car is electrically/mechanically sound. Once in awhile i dont catch something while street tuning, and the customer is encouraged to contact us with the issue so that it can be resolved (whether its coming back to re street tune, or modifying the tune through datalogs with email). As long as its not a mechanical/electrical issue related (i.e codes, fuel pump dying, fuel pressure change, wiring loose/shorting, etc ) i do not charge to correct the issue as i stand behind anything that i do.
