Default d16 with a t3/60-1

what do you folks think about a garrett t3/60-1? it will be going on a built d16y8 reving to about 8500. i made close to 400hp(392@24psi) with my last set up, but now looking for more hp. it is also a full racecar. no street time. just wanted to get some input onthe turbo on a d series. spool time also. any help well be great thanks

If its just a track *****, it will be okay. 400whp will mean full spool will be after 6000 in most cases. Was the gearing allowing the turbo to stay fully spooled on your last setup? Thats really the main goal for drag racing, you only need a powerband as large as your gears allow for.

I agree with HiProfile....if its a track car, it should work out just fine, but for the street, i cant imagine it being a lot of fun to drive
