Default whats the best way to preserve my fresh paint job?

im going to take my car in to get painted soon, and i wanted to know what to do to keep it looking like it just rolled out of the showroom floor. I already posted said this in another thread, but how long do you have to wait after getting your car out of the paint shop before waxing?

and whats a good non corrosive wax to use thatll give a deep gloss/shine/wet look to use on my new coat of paint?

If your bodyshop knows anything about what they're doing, ask them what to do. I think it's 30 days before you can wash/wax the car, maybe 60 for the waxing part. When I got my car I always kept it covered and quick detailed. In the 4 months I had it back (before it got stolen the other day) I think i washed it twice, maybe three times and it still shined like day 1

I've never heard of a corrosive wax but ok.

the key to keeping your paint looking good is wash it regularly, dont wait untill its filthy. that helps avoid swirls. and of course use a quality wash mit and never use a towel to dry it. wax it every month or so. if you do this you should only have to polish it once a year or so.

washing it is fine. you can also put a glaze on the paint to protect it and that is fine for fresh paint IIRC

Ha ha so sorry for the confusion. I was actually posting about "WihaSi" but you must have posted really quickly before i had the chance. I winked because WHAT you work on is everything. Working on 25 year old hondas means no money. Working on 50 year old Fords is bathing in money.

Sorry again for the confusion.

Dare I wink again?
