Default 94 ls question

My neighbor has a 94 ls in his driveway he got for cheap because the person before him hit a curb doing aprox 15-20 mph. The drivers side front tire was pushed back to the fender and the only way the car is driveable is to put a donut on so it can turn. I looked at it today and nothing seems to be out of line (strut tower, strut) so i was thinking it could be the lca, but i was looking and it might be were the lca bolts to the frame and in that case im not gonna buy it..any suggestions/ help if that part would bend? thanks in advanced

Yes, the frame can bend. Put the car in the air and inspect.

I have seen this quite a few times. Also, the whole cross member could be bent, which is no big deal really...hahahaha...if you have a garage with a lift. Look underneath where the LCA bolts to the cross member with three bolts towards the rear. Measure the distance on both sides from the back bushing bolt of the LCA to the body of the car under there. Thats usually where you can tell if they are bent. Goodluck!!!

If you can get the car cheap and it's a nice car then don't let the curb damage stop you... the worse that could have happened is a bent subframe like mentioned, so check out the lower control arm (which is pretty much gauranteed to be bent after hitting a curb) and where it mounts onto the subframe. You might not even be able to tell right away that the subframe is bent until you get it all back together with a new control arm and see that it's still out of spec. You can get a subframe pretty cheap and replace it at home.

yeah i hope its nothing major like that i just cant notice anything that looks bent...i think the LCA would crack instead of bend.. the only thing i found was that the upper ball joint was pushed back and not sitting right..so im kind of stuck right now cuz i dont know what parts to order lol

I have a complete cradle...and I mean complete from a 96' integra SE (not that the model really matters for fittment). I pulled it off of one of the cars I parted out in case of something like this. Just so you know, I would let the whole thing including struts and front hubs, and upper ball joints too for $400 picked up. It is a very clean unit, which is why i removed it in the first place. This would have anything you could ever need from the front end suspension. Thanks!!!
