Can someone help me out to select the IC for EG w/B18B + Greddy SOHC Turbo kit? Spearco & Greddy ICs for tons of $ are out of range. What kind of junkyard IC is the best suited for that setup (will be running 8psi of boost MAX).
Boost gauge: there are Meachanical & Electrical. Which is more accurate & more responsive?
Thanx in advanvce. Those 2 items are holding me up from hitting the Dark Side, so help me out!

i recently purchased a greddy boost gauge and thought i was getting ripped off until the package arrived. It was so complete and had absolutely everything ready to go. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Contact http://www.vsracingparts.com

 

I love greddy guages as well, but for the money you could get a Blitz Duel TT. The only disadvantage of this type is the boost gauge is digital, however with mine I still get a good idea of how fast boost is building.

Check out this wed site. This boost gauge looks pretty nice and the price is right. I was going to get one for my turbo regal but decided to go with the VDO. http://www.egauges.com/vdo_mult.asp?...ost&Series=EVM
It is a marine gauge and I amagine it would look pretty good at night. HTH

 

u can also use IC's from diesel trucks, but most of them are too big (unless you are lucky enough to find an Isuzu NPR one) and u have to cut them down

 

why would you want a boost guage that goes up to 25 psi, you can get a full sweep mechanical VDo 0-15psi guage for pennies. They are sweet as hell.

 

Because I run over 20 PSI in my regal with race fuel.
