Default zc motor. does is come in dohc and sohc

i'm confused. thought the zc motor came with the first gen integras right? dohc 1.6l engines. but my dad bought a motor for his 96 hatch, it's a sohc but says zc on the engine code.

There are at least 3 versions of the ZC I can think of

OBD0 single cam
OBD1 single cam
OBD0 dual cam

Bahahahahahahahaha

Nice try, your brothers friend doesn't have a clue. The USDM EH2's and EH3's (EG hatch's were not made in the US) only came with a D15Z1 (VX), D15B8 (CX), D15B7 (DX), or D16Z6 (Si) between 92-95. We aren't ******* idiots. The ZC is NOT a USDM motor.

Wow....this thread is funny....noob's rolling in with bullsh*t flowing out their mouth calling people idiots...hahaha.

There are NO Honda's or Acura's sold in the U.S. that came with an engine stamped "ZC" unless someone swapped it in noob.

There are four ZC's that are stamped "ZC" on the engine block.

2 pre-obd motors-Dual cam non-vtec (similar to D16A9 as stated) and the SOHC non vtec ZC (similar to the D16A6)

2 OBD1 motors- SOHC vtec (basically a D16Z6) and the DOHC non vtec...pretty much the same as the pre-obd motor, just slightly different intake mani, cam sensor is integrated into the dizzy, hydro tranny and gray plugs......super rare to find those ones. Here's a pic..

Thanks for clearing everything up RC000E. I myself did not know the DOHC ZC was a JDM engine.
