Car died going down the road...nothing comes on when i turn key...headlights still work...help
I was going down the road and lost power in my 89 crx si. Any accessory that will turn on without the key being in the ignition (headlights, park lights, horn, door buzzer) still work. Anything that requires the key to be on (cel light, all the lights on startup, radio, blinkers) do not work. Any idea what the problem is. I am thinking it is something in the ignition switch, but the 10 miles from home and I want to know what I am getting into before I go back to it.
Is there a way to hotwire it or something to get it home?
Where is the main fuse at?

What the expletive are you talking about you goddamn waste of life? Your mother should have swallowed.
No, not main relay. It has nothing to do with main relay
Yes, you can hotwire it, but you'll need a bit of time and patience to sit down with some jumper clips and test which pins go to which to get it to work. I've done it in the past, jumped the points where I was able to get the priming action of fuel pump and some accessories (run position) and then used a piece of wire to jump the start terminals. Got the car started, and drove it two blocks back. It would be easier if you just go to the junkyard, get an ign switch (just the piece on the back with the harness) plug it in and drive home
The main fuse is in the fusebox under the hood on the passenger side.
