oil pan help
ok so i changed the oil on this car for the first time today. and when i was putting the drain plug on , it just kept on screwing in which means the threads are stripped. there wasnt any other option so i just tried my best and put it on the tightest. now my car is like drippin hella oil. when i poured the oil back in i got it like almost near the full mark on the dipstick. after like 1 1/2 hour im already below the low mark on the dipstick.
what are some ways i can solve this ? where can i take it to have it rethreaded with a bigger size bolt? around how much is this going to cost me? thank you

you can get an oversized plug like you said... but that is just a temporary fix i would only reccomend using it once, it can also make metal shavings in your oil pan when you torque it down.
btw whats with these advertissments in the op? they are lame imo this site is falling apart.

since you planning to take the oil pan out anways to get it rethreaded. why not just replace the whole oil pan and make sure next time youll be careful not to strip the thread from over tightening it. save yourself the headache and worries.

im planning to do this without taking out the oil pan.... and i did not strip it myself. it was from the previous owner and this is my first time doing an oil change and i came to realize this issue.
ill leave some oil in there before i do it , so the shavings can come out with the oil . or i can just pour some fresh oil in to run the shavings down with it out of the drain hole.

Re-Tap the hole, you can rent taps at most auto parts stores (- Archidictus).
Run a tap through the hole, get a new drain plug, and enjoy no leaky oil

i just bought a over sized self tapping plug and installed it... and its not leaking at all. i left a little oil in before i put the plug in and once i tapped it i pulled it back out and let the flakes run down with the oil and i ran some fresh oil thru it too. should be okay for awhile
