GSR motor Cyl 1 misfire. PLEASE HELP!!!!
My friend has 00 gsr. I posted here cuz a lot of people know their stuff and have helped me on my EM1
BACKGROUND
We just installed ITR cams and put everything back together. Car ran great for 2 days then we found out there was a screwdriver tipped wedged in the top of the valve cover that grooved the timing belt.
PROBLEM
He replaced the timing belt, and made sure everything was at tdc. He forgot about the ratchet on the crank pulled. He left his 19mm socket and ratchet on the crank pulley after he tightened the timing belt so when he went to start it it immediately broke the ratchet. He killed it right away. He went through and checked everything for problems and to see if the belt jumped a tooth. At tdc on the crank the cam gears were still at TDC. Now his car is misfiring on cyl 1. Replaced cap, rotor, and plugs. ALL WIRES ARE PLUGGED IN CORRECTLY.
what could have happened when the motor broke off the ratchet? has this happened to anyone? We have called everybody we know trying dif things and nothing works.
please, any help would be greatly appreciated by both of us. 1 person on team integra recommened replacing the ecu. i really dont think thats the issue.
