Default My timing belt broke, I need some advice

I drive a 2000 civic si. From the sounds that came from under my hood, I need a new motor. I was wondering if some of you guys could give me some advice. I was in the market for a b16a2 long block, but it looks like it might be cheaper to go another route. I was thinking LS or b20. Or even a complete single cam swap. Power is NOT an issue, I need something to get me around town to work and what not. I just moved to Fontana and I hardly have a dime, so if you could point me in the right path for a cheap and reliable solution I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

If you wanna save money just replace the head. That will be the most hassle free way to go.

Or you can take the head apart and get new or used (good condition) valves. Then get new valve guides.

I dont really know what would be cheap besides riding the bus to and from work. Either way you go its going to cost money. Some options more than others, but its all about what you want.

That doesnt sound like to bad of an idea. My buddy has a set of valves out of a first gen. b16, im guessing they are the same right?
