Default B16 or GSR HEAD AND WHY?

Which head would you opt for when building a LSV or B20V all motor setup...why?

search, this is been covered before..

i personally will get a b16 head because it flow better (STOCK), you may not even notice thought and Gsr head will bump your compression a lil bit actually >.20 ..
so you if you going to build the motor you will be happy with either one..

open your mouth so we can spoon feed you jk
B16's flow better from the factory, GSR's have smaller (square) combustion chambers, and one will yield a slightly higher C/R. The volume difference is only 1.1cc per chamber and the C/R difference for a B16head/B18B1block vs a B18C1head/B18B1block is 11.6 vs 11.9, which I doubt is even noticable. And if it is noticable, it's nothing that a b16 head with remotely decent cams, like gsr or type r's, couldn't make up for-plus more-given the better flowing head.

Why does this come up so often?

The difference between the two is negligible at best. If you plan on doing the least bit of headwork, you throw pretty much any difference between the two out the window, save for the intake mani selection.

Because people are too damn lazy to search and read the 10 brazillion threads already posted on this subject. Posting info besides telling him where the search button is or linking to an existing thread is just encouraging that behavior.
