gsr head vs b16 head
well it started off as me wanting to build a slightly built poor mans type r..... i have the b16 head and i was planning to go all motor but it sorta occurred to me to ask whether to start with a gsr head is a better idea.. i was gonna do gsr block with built b16 head.... but then i decided im going with type r internals in my block and was just wanting to get input on what head to use.... im planning on skunk2 springs, retainers and valves....

Re: gsr head vs b16 head (cambopheonix56)
the flow is not that much better unless you have a type r b16 which is slightly polished on the intake side. The Gsr head will yield a slightly higher compression. It also has a flat areas around the edge that help prevent detonation. You could get a mild gsr polish and the gsr head would be a better head for sure.

Re: (Ruben19)
stock for stock: b16 flows better. gsr has better combustion chambers.
if you plan on doing headwork it does not matter which one you use
