car salvage title!
ok theres this car. crashed. issued salvage. then a week or two later. it issud junk title! thats what it says on carfax ... car only has 44K original miles. its a 99EX. whats the junk title mean??
they consider it junk, if there's too much they gotta do to rebuild it and make it safe..depending one where the car got hit..but from what i heard, junk car, is what they title it before it goes up for auction and then rebuilded..but i don't know
Junk title means that the car cannot be legally driven on the streets--it can only be purchased to have working parts parted out of the car.
You don't want to buy a salvage title car unless it was a theft recov, and it better be for a good price. When a car is salvaged, it usually has frame damage, and trust me, it will NOT drive the same as it was before the accident.

I had a NY State salvage title on my car, but that cleared and I drive it daily. But the guy above sounds like he knows what hes talking about. I would go with that.

Are you sure it wasn't a junk title that was reissued after a rebuild? You can have a salvage or junk title on a non drivable car, then get it reissued once the rebuild is done and approved as safe. It still has to be revealed when selling that it was originally a salvage/junk title, so maybe that's what you are looking at?
