Default Help me wire parking light visual to alarm.

Hey there guys! I have a 96 Accord EX with a Clifford Bullet 2 installed. Anyways it was a while back that I realized I had a parking light visual. (Blinks when you lock or unlock the system) Anyways I was wonder how to wire it up.

I've got 2 wires. an input and output. How do I do this?

Thanks!!!

BTW I suck at wiring. So if you can , please go into detail. If you have pictures, it would be GREATLY! Appreciated.

I can't find an install manual for a bullet 2, just a bullet 4 so that isn't much use (unsure if they kept the wiring the same or not)

I've never heard of an alarm have an input and output for parking lights though....

I just don't understand why you would need an "input" for parking lights flash. The whole idea is that the alarm triggers the parking lights by sending 12v down the parking light wire.

I'm not familiar enough with older alarms like that

DOH! Anyways how would you wire regularly? I'll find out.....

I'm thinking of cutting the wire in half. 1 half, I'll connect to input and another half I connect to the output...... Is that how?

Well since that unit has no switch and can not be switch to either 12 volt output for parking lights or 12 volt ground for parking lights. You need to send 12 volts to the input wire. So when you arm the car or dis-arm it. It will send 12 volts to the parking light wire.

oppppps typo, lol

Ok that makes sense. I think I got the input part. What do I do with the output?

Connect the output to the red/black parking light wire. It's found all over the car. Verify it with a multimeter.

I just want to verify this....

Well here is the wiring diagram. I don't think anything has to go into the input..... See if this makes sense to anyone...

(on the image you might want to right click and view image or show picture....

I'll say it again. But here it is easier. What ever going into the parking light input. Is going to be parking light output. If 12 volts goes in. 12 volts is going to come out. If 12 volt ground is going in. 12 volt ground is going to come out. Your car has 12 volt parking lights. So you need to tag the input wire to a 12 volt source. So now the output will be 12 volt. Tag that wire to the free pin above the fuse pannel thats is for the parking lights. That will be easier for you since you don't have a sound ideal on what your doing. Or you can find a red with black strip wire thats all over the car like suspended hatch said earlier and tag it there. red with a black strip is the car parking light wire. But you need to test it with a meter to make sure its the right one. That wire will show 12 volts when the parking lights are turned on. I thing you need to take this somewere and have it done.

Alot of entry level alarms are like this. Its because there is no switch on the alarm brain to tell the alarm to send + or - to the parking lights. Some car are + for there parking lights. some cars are - for there parking lights. Default setting for dei alarms are + output for parking lights.

I can make it even simpler, plug the red/white, [parking light input] into the 12V+ constant free pin, [in the under dash fuse box] and plug the red/black, [parking light output] into the park light free pin, [in under dash fuse box]. 94

u can find the parking lights in the fuse box. Just take a test light and right above the fuses there are these little slots u can stick a speaker terminal on I think it's the 3rd from the right. Put the output for the parking lights to it but make sure u have the right one use a test light stick it in one of them turn ur lights on to see if u have voltage. the one that reads 12v when u turn the lights on is the one u want.
