Default Power lock not working

Hi guys. Now b4 anyone says search I am pretty sure it's the actuator or however it's spelled that is the problem. I was just wondering if this can be bought off any online site. The reason I'm asking is that Honda here in Calgary, Canada want $130 for it and from what I see on here it's only around $30 in the US. My car is an 03 coupe. Thanks for any help.

Is there anything else that's not working? I'm assuming you checked the fuses, both boxes?

Yeah I've checked the fuses. If I push the lock button it will lock the passenger door but not the drivers door. Sometime it looks like it moves a little but doesn't lock or unlock.

I've had this problem before.... for the life of me I can't remember what it is... total brain fart... *thinking*

Is there anything else that doesn't work?

I'm going to take the door panel off to see if there are any loose connections. Does anyone know where it is located so I know where to look.

the only wiring connections in your door should be for windows, locks and possibly a light (cant remember if htere is a light on the door or not). so it should be very easy to determine what does what

hey man....i'm in the same boat but passenger side door lock doesn't go open / lock some times....i'm very curious to see who can help us fix this i drive an 01 ex with the original keyless entry remote.

conditions when it DOESN'T lock / open :
- when it's a hot day outside and the sun beats down on the passenger door
- once the car warms up enough on a 65F+ day (driving about 30 minutes+)

it's your actuators, it's a real bitch to replace, i have to do both my doors, i already got one done and it works fine, have to do the other one.

takes like 2-3hrs to do, i am going to try and post a DIY of it soon...

buy the actuators from honda, mine were about 35-40 each. replace them yourself. the actuator is located on the door where the lock mechanism locks onto the body of the car, the latch.

its a black little box.

I had to replace the drivers door I think the part was like $26 bucks and took about 2 hours to do. Part of that time was redoing it because went I got it back together the door handle would stick in the open position, be very careful and take mental note of how exactly everything goes in there. Be prepared to work with little to no room to move inside your door panel.

Cheaper here, but unfortunately I have no money atm, it's a minor issue for me too...I drive alone.

I've ordered the clutch release bearings and input shaft bearings and some other OEM parts here pretty cheap too...great place! fast shipping, 2day shipping to me.
