ok so i need a new clutch cuz mine is shot... I dont have a lot of money to spend on one cause Im doing my headswap this week and Ill need the car tuned. So i was looking on ebay and saw this.

Well the 1st one has an 8lb flywheel which is too light IMHO.
The 2nd two are brands Ive never heard of so that scares me.....

yea ive been reading through all 4 pages of that. But I dont have money this week for a name brand. Thats why i was looking at the exedy organic disk with the 8lbs flywheel. I only need it to last till about march next year then im getting a twin disk clutch for a 6 puck.. Car will be boosted then

No money for a name brand clutch but money to boost in 6 months?
Are you sure you even need a clutch?!

 

haha yea, my clutch is fried... going down the road and give it ajust a lil gas and it slips... car doesnt go anywhere... lol I roasted it last week at the dragstrip... but yea, Im going through basic in december and Ill get my signing bonus in march so yea, Ill be turboing then along with a nicer clutch...

 

Look into a stock Honda clutch to see what they run. People have had great things to sya baout the Exedy 0/1.
Its funny, in the clutch poll people bash and trash Exedy yet 1/2 of the people that voted run them. I have run more power than just about anyone there has AND not to mention my RoadRacing endeavors.....Find the least expensive Exedy and run with it......rather than a no-name brand.

I would stay away from that flywheel....do you need a flywheel too?
Find a company selling just the Exedy clutch and take it from there....

 

whats wrong with the flywheel? I dont think i need one but id like to change it while i have the tranny dropped. I know 8lbs is probably 2lite but it sounds like a decent deal to me... Fidanza is a decent company right?

I have never run their products but they seem pretty popular.
I just don't like the idea of the 8lb'er......I would stick with stock if possible or look into a ACT Streetlite@12lbs. I compare my stock Prelude FW to my 12lb Prelude flywheel and its world of difference. The difference between the 2 is about the same as the difference between the 12 and 8. Anything lighter and I just feel like revs would fall too fast. I guess if I wouldn't want it on my ~8500rpm setup I for sure wouldn't want it on a near stock setup which is what it sounds like youre running. You can have a stock FW balanced. Save your money for other stuff right now.
