x2. You could upgrade your brakes with OEM Honda and stop a lot quicker. Not to mention save a ton of $$ since 99% of the time those brake kits are severe overkill and are severely overpriced.

While I agree with the sentiment, I just hit http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com looking for calipers and noticed that they list 1997 Del Sol VTEC ABS front calipers as $8482 parts - $16,964/pair.
Yes, I sent them a note asking them what's the equivalent remanufactured part (none of the part#s I dug up from elsewhere were in their system), but... maybe the O.P. saw something similar and immediately started looking aftermarket.
OTOH who knows, maybe his car isn't driven on public roads...

That's obviously a typographical error.

I think it's their parts dept playing a joke on internet customers. I don't think new, as in non-remanufactured, Honda calipers are available for that model anymore. I order parts from there frequently, and it's not uncommon to have an item deleted from the order because it's no longer available from Honda. The other sites I looked at didn't even list new calipers.

Well, the rebuilt calipers go for around $65/ea, which isn't exactly highway robbery. I'd love it if there were Del Sol VTECs in junkyards, but unfortunately, my car didn't exactly sell a whole lot. Most of the junkyards I've talked to didn't even know Honda made a model called the Del Sol.
After changing over I intend to buy a rebuild kit and see if I can work my way through it on the old ones (never rebuilt a caliper before)... being that it's my daily driver, Murphy's Law would kick my *** if I tried that as my first option. If I don't screw up the rebuild, I may even put them up on H-T... though I usually just squirrel all the extra Sol parts away into storage for a rainy day...

rebuilt = warranty
junk yard = nada
I'd rather spend twice as much than risk having the same caliper go to hell in 2 months, just to repeat everything all over again.
