Vx = 5 wire O2 sensor
Z6 = 4 wire O2 sensor

Did you do any re-wiring for the Z6's O2 sensor to plug into your existing Vx engine harness?

yes u need to replace the o2 sensor with a new one..and the code will be gone.o2 sensor is located at your exhaust manifold..easy to change.

i swap'd in a d16z6 motor with the z6 engine harness. i just added the vtec solenoid wire, and pressure switch wires from the fuse box plug to a p28 ecu.

i guess ill buy a new o2 sensor. are those Denzo o2 sensors on ebay worth looking into?

Denso, NGK/NTK are just fine. Do NOT get Bosch, Walker or any "unviersal" O2 sensor that requires wiring the connector onto it.

Summit Racing or NTK sells them too.

the VX has the VTEC wires in place all ready. to swap in the Z6 with the Z6 engine harness you have to move one wire from the passenger side shock tower plugs to line up with the engine harness plugs. other wise it's completely plug and play.

Since you are running a Z6 now, please tell me you're running a P28 and not the VX's P07.

if you have a multi-meter measure the O2 heater's resistance to check if you have to spend the money. It could be a simple wiring problem.
