Default LX Cat??

I have an 02 civic lx (should of gotten an si) and i wanted to know if i bought a catback exhaust, would have to replace the header with it?? cause the stock header already has a built-in cat.. thanks in advance guys

It's in the FAQ but I'll throw you a bone. If you buy a EX catback you need to buy the tananbe extension pipe or convert to an ex header and downpiple. If you buy a LX catback you'll be fine.

no i mean if i buy a LX catback wouldnt that mean that i noiw have a 2nd, uneeded caT? (cause the LX header has a built in one)

no... there is no 2nd cat, but there is a resonator

I probably shouldn't have been so short fused, my bad for that. Sometimes I forget that everyone has to start somewhere but understand that these kind of questions get asked more than they should.

well i got an lx, and you need a ex conversion.. get the ex header, and the ex down pipe OR go with the EX aftermarket header and Random tech dp, with a cat... pass emissions and be enviro-friendly... and be cool and looud!...vroom!

there isnt an lx catback... its for the ex... and only some of the lx';s have an entension for the ex catback to fit..

Incorrect, there <u>is</u> an LX cat-back. Check dezod.com.

Kamakaze makes a dx/lx one but supposedly they are almost impossible to find, Ive never been able to find one.
