Default type r whistling

I am sure there is prior info on this topic but just wondering does your type r whistle when you hit the gas. sounds like the throttle body. Is this common or is something wrong with the car?
Please chime in

Honda has devoloped small micro turbos that are in the intake housing. This is what you are hearing.

it is common for the intake design. aftermarket gsr intakes do it as well.

Do you have the stock intake, or aftermarket? Some CAI make whistling sounds. Might have a vacuum leak.

I'm assuming, as others have mentioned, that you have some sort of open-element aftermarket intake. If so, the whistle is common and normal. It's caused by air rushing past the throttle plate at certain throttle positions. No cause for concern.

Every B-Series Honda I have ever owned/driven has had the whistle.

Hell, my R had it with the stock Intake!
