Is this Possible? I searched!! obd1 head block
hey guys... this sounds good on paper to me
putting an obd1 non-vtec head and block in my 91 crx, keeping the old mpfi intake manifold, and using the obd0 dizzy.. and keeping my cable transmission... and keeping all the wiring the same and keeping the ecu??
would mounts change?
Thanks Chase

you would need to swap the driver's side mount that bolts onto the end of the block from your old engine to the new engine - OBD1 engines have the cooling fan switch on the thermostat housing instead of on the back of the block - some OBD1 engines (you didn't say what yours is ) have the MAP sensor on top of the throttle body - some OBD1 engines have the purge cutoff solenoid on the back of the intake manifold instead of on the firewall
well, i forget the engine code of the motor in my crx, but its an dx crx i would say.. i mean its not an si..
i figured i would have to change the back mount, and i guess just run 3 mounts... the tranny, back block and right side mount.
but i am just going to use the head, and block of the obd1.. and use my obd-0 IM. I sure it would be no problem to wire up the fan switch.
